Jon Bistline

Jon Bistline arrived in Boston in late 1996 founded the indie-rock quintet Chauncey (2002 Best Rock Album, Boston Magazine) with fellow Berklee College of Music grad J.P. Powell.  He spent the next 9 years touring with the group, which recorded its sophomore recored "My Radio (Everything I Know)" with Nirvana/Pixies engineer Steve Albini in 2003.  Following the band's breakup in 2005 and brief stints in local acts Engine and Shadwell, Jon began plying his multi-instrumentalist skills on bass, keyboards and cello with Rachael Cantu, performing on her first release "Run All Night" (Q Division Records) with Mike Piehl (Expaning Man, Reverse), Joe McMahon (Will Dailey) and Tony Goddess (Papas Fritas).  He has also performed live with Melissa Ferrick, the Everyday Visuals, Kristin Cifelli, Edie Carey, Anne Heaton, Jordan Carp, and the Emerald City, among others.
